Christmas Time is Here...

Ok, so I am a little late on posting decor pics of my house and the posed picture of Parker mounting the star on the tree... but, believe me, it has been aseason to remember!

HAHA HIS FACE LOOKS LIKE HE IS STRUGGLING!

The start of December was me with this awful flu strand... yes it lasted a WHOLE week, even caused us to have to postpone our Christmas Party. Anyways... got through that, then spent a day in the hospital with my poor hubby who totaled my car (not
his fault by the way)... praise the Lord he is fine and backin working order :). I am in constant praise for his life these days, each moment is so very precious. Oh, did I mention we got the "move forward" to go to North Africa/Spain from our church...? Yea, we leave in January (stay tune for updates). So, im telling ya, it has been a whirlwind.

But, for now enjoy these pics... they take me back over the couple weeks... entirely glorifying our Father, for life, blessings, family, friends, and each other!

OUR FIRST VILLAGE!

YAY IT IS FINISHED... AND IT THERE IS A FEW PRESENTS :)

OUR LITTLE FAMILY!

"O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree"

House is decorated (pics to come)... and the last thing to purchase was the tree
! It's done and yet it isn't decorated yet because unfortunately I came down with something... oh well I am "resting" and hoping it will get done before our 2nd Annual Christmas Party tomorrow night... sooo much to do!!!

We were going to start the tradition of cutting down a tree ourselves, but we hear
d they aren't always the best and usually overpriced (any other experiences on that
?), so we went to ol' faithful, Home Depot!
I LOVE our tree, it's the best yet! Ha ok we have only had one before, but still
the best yet!

"O Christmas Tree" Is Up!!!

Back from a Busy Season.

You ever get so busy you can hardly get the energy to make your own bed or simply make the food you need to eat?! Ok, I got to that point not too long ago... WOW it was not fun! Nursing school, work, marriage... everything in my life was BUSY. Most of you know that my whole life has been consumed with doing lots... always busy! BUT, the difference was in this situation... I was miserable being busy. I usually embrace and love being busy, when I love what I am doing. So I had a serious heart to heart with the Lord for several weeks! The resounding question being WHAT AM I DOING? WHY I AM IN NURSING SCHOOL? WHAT'S THE MEANS TO THIS END? Ok, you get my point... I needed answers fast. I either needed to grab hold of nursing, embrace it and find a love for it and move on... or I needed to let go and trust that God had greater plans!

Longer story short after much prayer and thoughts, I was at peace knowing I was to withdraw from nursing school. What a stinking humble thing it was. My pride was getting the best of me saying "this is what you have worked for the past 7-8 yrs... what are you thinking?" But, the spirit within me was directing my steps. "Man makes plans but the Lord directs His steps," Proverbs 16:9. I know I will get people thinking I am crazy over this, but life happens, plans change... and I know the Lord will reveal His perfect plan for me in time. But, for today... I love for today and am so free knowing I am in His perfect will!

So you ask what now?!? Good question... I am back to the free life I was once living! Freedom to bake, cook, blog, craft, clean... you name it! I love life and I love this life the Lord has allowed me to have in this season. So, me and mom will begin pushing Crafts-N-Trends a lot more, I will continue cleaning, and DIY Manuel will be back in action!!! Hurray!

I have sincerely missed you all! :)

In the meantime check out October Orange and be tuned for more DIY's!
