We are the Manuels, Parker and Jessica Manuel. Young and Fun!
The journey began 5 years ago in Lynchburg, VA... as friends! Little did we know that 3 years later our paths would cross again in each others home towns, him living in Hendersonville, TN (my hometown) and I living in Chapel Hill, NC (close to his hometown). It was over Thanksgiving that we reunited and a year later we were married!
October 22, 2010 was the greatest day of both of our lives! We were blessed to have our dream wedding at Lake Junaluska in the midst of the Smoky Mountains. We kept it simple, but it was perfect for us!
We have now made our home in Hendersonville, TN with our two dogs, Duke (4 years old and is going on 14 years old) and Charlie (5 months old and very much still a puppy). Parker is Owner and Operator of Perfection Painting & Handyman Services and loves every minute of it. Some days you will find him building a deck and other days tiling a bathroom. On the other hand, I run a small local cleaning business called Sparkling Clean Solutions, I enjoy cleaning and seeing the uniqueness of so many houses. I have enough clients that keep me busy 3 days a week. On other days I work on hair bows and accessories for girls or work on DIY projects. We are both very involved in our local church, Long Hollow Baptist. It is Truth founded and very genuine. We feel one day we may be involved in a church plant oversees. When and Where, we are not sure of, but we are certain that we are right where the Lord has us today! We will keep you posted as we are posted!
For fun we enjoy the outdoors, this includes camping, canoeing, fishing, kayaking, biking, rock climbing... and the list could go on and on! We love traveling to new places and meeting new people, yet we absolutely LOVE being home too! We are suckers for our "chill room" (which is where we are now)! I can't say we enjoy the movies, seeing we have only once ever been to the movies together, but we do love some Red Boxes! Most evenings you will find us working in the yard or grilling out with friends. I may be bias, but I think we have the best friends and families any one could ask for!
Ever since we moved into our quaint little rental home, my mentality of decorating cheap and with style blossomed... never have I had the mindset as I do now. Therefore, we want to share... share how we have made a home that is not our own, feel like home and in a costly fashion!
